In September, October and November, Michael Sanderling makes his debuts with the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra Amsterdam, the Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra, the Orchestre National du Capitole de Toulouse and the Orchestre de Paris.

On September 19, 20, 21 and 23, Michael Sanderling takes over concerts with the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra conducting Bruckner’s Symphony No. 3 preceded by Louis Andriessen’s Mysteriën, which was commissioned by the Concertgebouw and premiered by Mariss Jansons in 2013, in celebration of 125 years of both the orchestra and the Concertgebouw Hall.

With the Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra, Sanderling appears on September 26th and 27th, conducting the Symphony No. 10 by Shostakovich and Brahms’ Violin Concerto, having Josef Spacek as soloist.

In Toulouse, on October 27th he conducts Bruckner’s Symphony No. 7 and the Violin Concerto by Mendelssohn with Nicola Benedetti. 

Michael Sanderling’s autumn string of debuts caps off with the Orchestre de Paris on the 15th of November, conducting Beethoven’s Egmont Overture, Six monologues de Jedermann by Frank Martin, having Matthias Goerne as soloist, and Liszt’s Dante Symphony in the second part of the concert.
